{Pet Insurance}
Yep! There IS such a thing! Did you know? My boys Albert and Rocko are both insured under ASPCA Pet Health Insurance and it has been one of the BEST choices. Anyone who has been through it knows, vet visits are EXPENSIVE. Even just for something small, you can easily find yourself spending well over $100 just for the visit and one simple medication. If you are like me, and will do anything to keep your fur babies healthy, consider insurance!
When I first heard about pet insurance, I had just got my fuzzy little Albert and I signed him up immediately. I thought it was a great backup plan in case anything ever happened….little did I know just how handy it would be a few months later when something devastating happened…..
Almost two years ago, I had just returned from my internship with Sarah Barlow, to the news that Albert was in the vet with Parvo. This is one of the ugliest sicknesses a puppy can have and can often be fatal. After a week of 24-hour intensive care at the vet, and another week of recovering at home without the IV’s, Albert pulled through. I was so thrilled to have him healthy again, but NOT thrilled with the $1200 vet bill! Thanks to the insurance, I was reimbursed almost 75% of that.
I now have both Rocko and Albert on insurance and have reaped the benefits of it many times. Including last week, when Albert got a nasty infection that racked up a pretty decent bill. The cost is about $19/month per dog, however it can cover up to 80% of vet bills. I highly recommend all of you pet lovers check it out. It’s been a lifesaver for us! (LITERALLY!). Don’t wait till your pet is sick though, the plan takes a month to settle and be valid, so your pet must be healthy before that time in order to be covered.

{This yummy jalapeno popper dip!}
I brought this dip to a party last weekend and it was a HIT. The whole pan was devoured within 10 minutes of me uncovering it. I love Pinterest recipes!!!!!

Jalapeno Popper Dip
(makes 4 snacks sized servings)
Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (room temperature)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup cheddar cheese (grated)
1/2 cup parmigiano reggiano
1 (4 ounce) can sliced jalapenos (pickled)
2 jalapeno peppers (chopped, optional)
1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
1/4 cup parmigiano reggiano
Directions:
1. Mix the cream cheese, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, parmigiano reggiano and jalapenos in a bowl and pour into a baking dish.
2. Mix the panko bread crumbs and parmigiano reggiano and sprinkle over the dip.
3. Bake in a 375F oven until bubbling on the sides and golden brown on top, about 10-20 minutes.

Celeste has me hooked! I never used to care about hair products much at all. I would just use whatever shampoo, conditioner, and hairspray was on sale at the time. But NOW….I am enlightened. I have noticed SUCH a difference in my hair since I started investing in these well-worth-it products! From the Moroccanoil line, I use the Original Moroccanoil and the shampoo and conditioner. This stuff is definitely my hair secret! Well…..I guess not……now that I just told everyone? :P
